Brother’s sacrifices remembered ahead of All Souls’ Day

BUKIT MERTAJAM: It was a poignant moment for bank manager Lawrence Teng when he recalled the sacrifices made by his late brother Francis for children from a charity home.

Lawrence said Francis, who was a bachelor who died aged 46, had quit his job as an accounts clerk two years ago to work full-time as a volunteer at Shan Children’s Home opposite their house in Taman Indera­wasih, Prai.
