PETALING JAYA: Floods in Thailand have pushed chilli prices in Malaysia to more than RM10 per kilo – almost double from last week’s prices and the highest in recent times.
“We depend heavily on Thailand for the supply of cili Siam and red chillies as few farmers here plant these crops,” said Federation of Vegetable Sellers Associations Malaysia president Soo Cheng Kee.
