KUALA LUMPUR: A former senior Transport Ministry official told the High Court that the Finance Ministry had not objected to the price of RM25 psf for the purchase of land in the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) project.
Former chief assistant secretary of the Transport Ministry’s maritime division P. Chandrasekaran said the ministry had in a meeting on Nov 2, 2000, merely favoured using the Land Acquisition Act to acquire the land at a lower price of RM10.16 psf instead of purchasing it.
