KUALA TERENGGANU: The skeletal remains of the Bewah Man, said to be 13,400 years old, will be the focus of the upcoming Terengganu Archaeology Seminar and Exhibition here.

Terengganu Museum Board assistant curator Azuan Haron said the event on Sept 25 sought to provide historical and cultural information on the state via various discoveries and artefacts.

“The discovery of the Bewah Man in 2009 will be the main focus of the seminar, which will gather eight presenters from various fields to share knowledge,” he said.

Azuan said a visit to the site where Bewah Man was discovered was among programmes lined up at the three-day seminar and archaeological exhibition at the museum's Mandika Gallery.

A number of archaeological discoveries outside Terengganu, like the Perak Man and a meteorite will also be put on display. - Bernama
