KUALA LUMPUR: Director Yap Kien Sing was fined RM300,000 for having 150 t-shirts with the cartoon 'Upin & Ipin' printed on them without permission from the copyright holders, animation company Les' Copaque Production Sdn Bhd.
This is the first case of copyright infringement concerning t-shirts.
