KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) said the surge in the bills of consumers as reported in the media lately is due to the tampering of meters by irresponsible quarters.
“We wish to clarify that 15 of the 19 reports on high back-dated bills in the media (between January and July) were cases where we have strong evidence to believe that tampering of meters had taken place and most cases involved repeat offenders,” it said.
