Penang Gerakan chief may not contest in next general election


GEORGE TOWN: Penang Gerakan chairman Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan may not contest a seat in the next general election as he wants to give the party's younger leaders a chance.

A former four-term assemblyman and veteran politician in Penang, Dr Teng, 65, said Gerakan was now grooming second and third echelon leaders to lead the party in Penang.
