PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court ruled that a disciplinary proceeding conducted by the Royal Police Commission against a former Superintendent was invalid because it failed to accord him a right of oral hearing.
In a 2-1 majority decision, the three-man panel comprising Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Tan Sri Richard Malanjum and Federal Court judges Tan Sri Zulkefli Ahmad Makinudin and Tan Sri Mohd Ghazali Mohd Yusoff ordered that Yusof Sudin be reinstated in the force.
