THE Education Ministry has forwarded a proposal to the Finance Ministry for an increase in funds for the supplementary food assistance programme for schoolchildren.
Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong said the ministry was seeking an increase of up to RM2.50 for students in the peninsula and RM3 for those in Sabah and Sarawak.
