GEORGE TOWN: Over 50 astronomy enthusiasts here witnessed a 100-minute total lunar eclipse, which was one of the longest eclipses since July 2000.
The group led by Universiti Sains Malaysia Astronomy Club adviser Assoc Prof Dr Chong Hon Yew gathered at the university's Padang Kawad in the wee hours of yesterday morning to witness the eclipse.
