KENINGAU: Malaysia is taking steps to help secure the release of a Malaysian being held by gunmen in the southern Philippines island of Jolo.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said efforts were being made by Wisma Putra and the Philippine authorities to get Mohd Nazaruddin Saidin, 38, released.
