Johor wins 115-year land dispute


PUTRAJAYA: In a landmark judgment, the Federal Court held that the Johor Government is the rightful owner of a prime piece of land that has been in dispute between the beneficiaries of Johor royalty and the state government for more than 100 years.

Ungku Abdullah, the brother of the then Sultan Abu Bakar Daeng Ibrahim, had bought the 2.4ha piece of land which was charged to a chettiar in 1890.
