PUTRAJAYA: The price of coarse and fine sugar will be increased by 20 sen to RM2.30 per kilo today, said Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry secretary-general Datuk Mohd Zain Mohd Dom.
He said the increase was to reduce government sugar subsidy by RM116.6mil from RM400mil per year.
