MARANG: Twenty-six civilians who attempted to bribe Road Transport Department (RTD) officers in order to avoid being summoned during operations, were detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) since January.
RTD director-general Datuk Solah Mat Hassan said since the arrests were made in January, disciplinary action was also taken on several RTD officers and referred to the MACC.
