Songwriter Seri Bayu dies of lung infection


PORT DICKSON: Songwriter Jamaludin Sulik, who is more popularly known as Seri Bayu, died Saturday night due to a lung infection.

He was 45. He breathed his last at 8.15pm at Port Dickson Hospital, according to his friend Azmi Zahari, who is the executive council member of the Pertubuhan Insan Prihatin. Azmi said Seri Bayu, who had been suffering from nerve ailments for six years and was partially paralysed, succumbed to a lung infection. He told Bernama that prior to being admitted to the hospital, he lived with his adopted brother in Kampung Teluk, here.
