PETALING JAYA: Potassium iodide (KI) is not available for commercial sale and is only used as part of medical treatment in government hospitals, said Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
“Potassium iodide should be used under proper medical advice. Improper use of the pills, especially by pregnant women, could cause harm,” he said.
