PUTRAJAYA: The Court of Appeal Wednesday struck out a civil defamation suit filed by Hindraf leader and legal advisor P. Uthayakumar against the Attorney-General, former Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and Government.
The court made the decision on the grounds that the alleged defamatory articles in mainstream newspapers on Dec 7, 2007 quoting former IGP Tan Sri Musa Hassan and Attorney-General Tan Sri Gani Patail did not name Uthayakumar as having links to Sri Lankan terrorist organisation LTTE.
