Prices still going up in Jasin

JASIN: With a by-election looming over Merlimau, prices of goods here have increased despite a Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Ministry warning that action will be taken against unscrupulous traders.

Cost of items such as condensed milk and gula melaka (palm sugar), used extensively in the making of cendol and air batu kacang – two desserts usually popular with election campaigners – have gone up.
