KUALA LUMPUR: A Dutch businessman was acquitted of cheating Yayasan Diraja Sultan Mizan into accepting a “bill of exchange” worth RM623mil because the prosecution failed to call the King to prove their claim.
Dr Zvonko Berdict Albert, 65, who claimed that he was the president and chief executive officer of the Canadian-based Bedford International Financial Group, hugged his friends when he heard the verdict.
