SHAH ALAM: A high-ranking Immigration Department officer and eight other people were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the issuance of fake immigration letters needed by bankrupts or blacklisted people for overseas travel.
The Selangor Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) officers detained the 41-year-old officer from the Immigration Department’s security division in Putrajaya on Sunday following the arrest of a 45-year-old tour agent from Klang, a 40-year-old man in Shah Alam and a woman in her 30s from Puchong on the same day.
