GEORGE TOWN: Hundreds of lotus-shaped krathong of various colours and sizes illuminated the sea off Gurney Drive here as groups of devotees gathered on shore to watch them.
The release of the krathong vessels by devotees marked the culmination of the Thai Loy Krathong Festival, which is held during the full moon of the 12th lunar month in the Thai calendar.
