KUALA LUMPUR: Former Pancaran Ikrab Berhad managing director Ngu Tieng Ung broke, down and cried after he was sentenced to a day’s jail and fined RM2mil by the Sessions Court for committing two counts of financial fraud involving RM15.5mil 13 years ago.
Sessions judge S.M. Komathy Suppiah also allowed Ngu, 43, to pay the fine in 12 instalments starting next month, to be paid by the fifth of each month or a 30-day jail if he fails.
