Mum and child die after wild boar rams car

KUALA TERENGGANU: A mother and child were killed when their car hit a tree after it was rammed by a wild boar at Merchang, Marang, here.

Nor Aslina Izan, 25, died upon impact and her eldest daughter, Nur Ain Nabila Zulkifli, six, died while being treated at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital here.

The 8.25am incident on Saturday at the 54th kilometre of the Kuantan-Kuala Terengganu trunk road.

Marang OCPD Deputy Supt Ahmad Mazlan Yahaya said Nor Aslina is believed to have lost control of the car when the animal rammed into the vehicle.

The animal also died.
