KUALA LUMPUR: The Government can check the brain drain by recognising the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) of the 60 Chinese independent schools in the country, Chinese educationists said.
United Chinese School Teachers Association (Jiao Zong) chairman Ong Chiow Chuen said many of the UEC holders who had obtained foreign scholarships were required to serve a particular country for several years, and that was why they were not returning home to serve.
