Malaysian held in Manila drug bust

MANILA: A Malaysian was arrested at the main airport here as he tried to smuggle in 14kg of methamphetamines, but an accomplice escaped, police said.

Teoh Chee Keong was taken into custody shortly after arriving from Bangkok yesterday when Customs officials found half of the drugs stashed in his luggage, said Derrick Carreon, a spokesman for the national anti-drug agency.
