KUALA LUMPUR: The defence team in the Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim sodomy trial has filed an application to stay the court proceedings at the High Court pending an appeal at the Court of Appeal.

Anwar’s counsel, Sankara Nair, said the appeal was against a High Court decision to dismiss Anwar’s application to obtain the medical reports by three Kuala Lumpur Hospital doctors who examined star witness Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
