KUALA LUMPUR: Human traffickers will be fined between RM500,000 and RM1mil under proposed amendments to the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.
The heavier penalty is part of a comprehensive plan to curb smuggling of migrants and human trafficking, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Wira Abu Seman Yusop said.
