KUALA LUMPUR: A housewife has been awarded RM1.4mil by the High Court over the death of her husband while in police custody 11 years ago.
Judicial Commissioner Lee Swee Seng ordered former Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Norian Mai and the Government to pay Suzana Md Aris RM1mil for aggravated and exemplary damages and RM200,000 in dependency claims for each of her sons, now aged 19 and 13.
