GEORGE TOWN: Police had to use torchlights during a vice raid at a nightspot here following a blackout believed to have been deliberately caused to enable suspects to escape under cover of darkness.
However, that did not deter the authorities who rounded up 24 foreign women – 22 Chinese nationals and two Vietnamese – aged between 18 and 34 years, during the operation which began about 1am yesterday.
