KUALA LUMPUR: The national debt dropped from RM236.18bil in 2008 to RM233.92bil last year, but the debt-to-the gross domestic product (GDP) ratio rose slightly.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said Malaysia's debt last year was 34.3% to the GDP, up from 31.9% to the GDP in 2008.
