BACHOK: The Finance Ministry is studying ways to prevent subsidised items from continually being smuggled to neighbouring countries.
Its deputy minister, Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin, said the government suffered massive losses annually when essential items like sugar, cooking oil, flour, diesel and petrol, which are subsidised, are smuggled out.
