GEORGE TOWN: The State Legislature’s Privileges and Rights Committee will have its first meeting on June 7 to decide on the action to be taken against state Opposition Leader Datuk Azhar Ibrahim for allegedly uttering racially inflammatory words during the state assembly sitting recently.
State assembly speaker Datuk Abdul Halim Hussain, who is also the committee chairman, told The Star that the meeting would be held at the state assembly premises.
