KUCHING: The government has refuted accusations by some western non-governmental organisations (NGOs) that its planted forest policy was destroying the state’s biodiversity and displacing locals.
State Planning and Resource Management Ministry’s deputy permanent secretary Datuk Len Talif Salleh said these NGOs and some foreign media had made the accusation as they were ignorant of the state’s sustainable forest policy.
