ESMR procedure does not require open heart surgery, says UMMC doc

PETALING JAYA: Good news awaits coronary heart patients who cannot undergo angioplasty or bypass surgery.

The Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) now has a therapy called the Ex-tracorporeal Shockwave Myocardial Revascula-risation (ESMR) procedure, which provides treatment without surgery.
