KUCHING: Support for Barisan Nasional from the Chinese community in Sibu is still lukewarm with many fence-sitters waiting for the Sibu by-election campaign before deciding who they will vote for on May 16.
Sibu community leader Temenggong Vincent Lau said the Chinese-majority constituency was currently a “grey” area for the coalition but hoped that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s working visit tonight and tomorrow would boost the community’s support for the BN.
