SHANGHAI: Shanghai’s Oriental Pearl Tower, a building that has become a symbol of China’s financial centre, caught fire early on Tuesday, reports Xinhua news agency.
Flames could be seen near the large television antenna at the top of the 468m tower, but firefighters appeared to have the fire under control as of 3:30 a.m. local time.
