IPOH: Police have completed their investigation after several reports were lodged against Tronoh assemblyman V. Sivakumar for allegedly masquerading as the Perak state assembly speaker.
State deputy police chief Senior Asst Comm (I) Datuk Zakaria Yusof said investigation papers had already been handed over to the Deputy Public Prosecutor’s office for further action.
”We will call up Sivakumar for questioning as soon as we receive instructions from the office to do so,” he told reporters after the 203rd Police Day celebrations here Thursday.
Three reports were lodged against Sivakumar for allegedly masquerading in his former post by his successor Datuk R. Ganesan, Perak Barisan Nasional Back Benchers Club (BNBBC) chairman Datuk Nadzri Ismail and the state Umno Youth.
The three parties alleged that Sivakumar had used the Speaker’s official letterhead to send out notices on the upcoming March 30 sitting despite having been relieved of the post on May 7 last year.
SAC Zakaria advised the public not to take part in illegal gatherings around the state secretariat building when the sitting takes place next Tuesday.
