TRADERS who over-charge can be fined a maximum of RM100,000 or jailed up to three years under a proposed amendment to the Price Control Act, China Press reported.
The paper said the Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Ministry was revising the Act to include an “anti-violence” provision empowering the ministry to haul these traders to court.
