Raja Petra’s son not abused: Suhakam

KUALA LUMPUR: Raja Azman, the son of former Malaysia Today editor Raja Petra Raja Kamaruddin, inflicted injuries on himself at the Sungai Buloh prison but not in an attempt to commit suicide, according to the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam).

Suhakam commissioner Datuk N. Siva Subramaniam said Raja Azman, 34, told him that he slashed his left arm and swallowed razor blades after learning that he would be placed in a separate block for violating prison rules.
