KUANTAN: A black panther was found dead Sunday in the Persit forest reserve near Kuala Lipis, about 200km west of Kuantan, and is believed to be a victim of poaching.
Pahang Wildlife Department director, Khairiah Mohd Shariff said the animal, a protected species, was found by members of the public at 4.30pm without its legs, paws and skin, which was likely sold in the local market.
