KOTA KINABALU: Sabah wants to conserve tracts of land suitable for padi cultivation by barring them from being used for other purposes, said Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Yahya Hussin.
He said the state would enforce policies to prevent the land conversion of existing padi fields and other areas suitable for cultivating the crop.
