KOTA KINABALU: The Finance Ministry has assured that prices of goods in Sabah, which are now about 20% higher than the peninsula, will not go up further with the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
In fact, its Tax Revision Panel secretariat chairman Datuk Kamariah Hussain said, the prices of certain items such as shoes and clothing could even drop by an average of 2.7%.
