KUALA LUMPUR: A brief stand-off took place in front of Wisma Matta here when Datuk Joshua Peter Tan — previously the elected Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents’ (Matta) president — tried to enter the premises but was blocked from doing so.
Tan, who was elected president on Thursday in what the Matta executive committee later described as an “illegal meeting,” had reportedly said he would move into Wisma Matta to claim the president’s office.
