13 fined for offence at CIQ


JOHOR BARU: Twelve Malaysians were fined RM1,500 each and another RM1,000 by the Sessions Court here after pleading guilty to failing to produce their passports when leaving the country.

The accused – Lee Kian An, 42; M. Thinagaran, 26; S. Evaraj, 23; Lim Meng Hwa, 44; Nga Kor Soon, 37; Low Kam Yap, 24; Chan Wee Chong, 41; Ong Yan Hui, 32; Chan Yee, 39; Nee Siaw Rua, 25; Chin Chee Leong, 34; Ko Yun Yu, 35 and Kim Lian Hin, 41 – committed the offence while leaving Malaysia for Singapore.
