RAUB: The Tourism Ministry’s homestay programme will be extended to Chinese new villages as a showcase of the 1Malaysia concept for foreigners who make up the majority of those in the programme.
Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen said Kampong Sungai Chetang in Raub had been identified as a potential pilot project but its entry into the programme would depend on whether the villagers were ready to receive foreigners as their guests.
