A total of 31,046 vouchers for the RM5,000 rebate enabling car owners to trade in their old vehicles to purchase either Proton or Perodua models had been given out from March 10 to Nov 1, this year.
Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Chor Chee Heung said the cash vouchers were part of the economic stimulus package announced in March to help car owners who wanted to replace their old cars aged 10 years or more.
