A TOTAL of 6,109 signatures from several parties seeking justice for deceased politicial aide Teoh Beng Hock was delivered to Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Liew Vui Keong at the Parliament lobby.
The signatures, collected from Johor Baru Suaram, 24 political parties and non-governmental organisations, were handed over to Liew by its coordinator Suaram’s Fang Pei Fen.
They are seeking changes to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act aimed at checking the manner in which its officers conduct investigations, among other things.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said he saw no reason why the application made by Teoh’s family to exhume his remains for a second autopsy should not be allowed if it were to be carried out to find out the truth.
