Dompok: Change leaking pipes before considering dam


KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government is being asked to consider reducing leakage from ageing pipelines instead of building a new dam to ensure sufficient water supply in the state.

Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Tan Sri Bernard Dompok said plugging the leaks was a more practical approach to address the situation instead of constructing a new dam and water treatment plant that would displace scores of rural folk.
