KUCHING: The Sarawak Teachers Union (STU) proposed that schools in the state's interior use a special education department allocation to provide transport for Penan school children to avert the alleged rape of school girls from the community on their way to and from school.
STU president William Ghani Bina said Monday the schools could lease four-wheel-drive vehicles or secure the transport service of logging companies operating in the locality to send the Penan children to school and back home.
