KUALA LUMPUR: Jamaah Islah Malaysia (JIM) president Zaid Kamaruddin has challenged claims by certain parties over the cost of damages to businesses and properties during Saturday’s anti-Internal Security Act demonstration.
“As far as we’re concerned, the protest was peaceful. Not a single property was damaged and nothing was broken in the process,” Zaid told a press conference here yesterday.
